Does the artificial turf get hot? |
|
If exposed to direct sunlight on a very hot day, say over 95 Fahrenheit, it does get hot. Because we use a white sand infill, the heating is kept to a minimum. It will not get hot enough to cause injury. The playground equipment itself will be hot also. If the temperatures reach much higher than 95 degrees, a generally unhealthy environment is experienced by everyone outdoors. Honestly, who wants to play outside when it is that hot anyway? Many other artificial turf systems utilize ground rubber in their play grounds which causes the temperature to rise even higher. IntelliTurf attempts to eliminate ground rubber when possible which is most installations.
