Putting Green installation by IntelliTurf

IntelliTurf started its business in 1998 as a synthetic golf surfaces company and has always focused on putting green installation for private residences, multi-housing properties such as apartments, condominiums and senior housing facilities.  The surfaces look and play like natural grass but require virtually no maintenance.  Most properties can handle building a golf shot so that you can add to the putting aspect and actually get a ball in the air.
Fringe turf is the descriptive term for the artificial turf we install around the putting green.  The fringe provides a buffer to the putting surface and allows for the landscaped area outside the installation to not have to be perfect.  Many of our installations are surrounded by natural grass and for a homeowner to maintain their lawn up to the standards of a championship golf course is usually too much to ask.  So if we surround the golf green with fringe turf, the area looks better and plays more like a natural grass golf green.

Did you know- Putting Green

Sand-filled is an industry term that describes the type of turf and technology used for the construction of the putting green.  The fake grass fibers are over an inch tall and are filled with a specific round sand so the golf green can hold a golf shot.  While the surface putts like a championship natural grass green, it can also hold a shot.

Putting Green Tip

Many putting green installations are created from non-sand-fill surfaces.  These will also putt like a natural grass green but do not compare when it comes to the looks of a sand filled green.
